The Underground Railroad is Compelling Reading
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an incredible novel by one of the best novel writers of this time. I have read other works by him and am equally impressed with each one. This one is regarding the Underground Railroad which helped slaves escape their cruel masters. The story of Cora is compelling and her strength and resolve are recorded in such great detail and with such empathy. The reader is transported to a different time and place and educated to the horrors which were slavery. It is certainly required reading for today's world, for today's reading audience and for anyone with a desire to learn more. I cannot applaud Mr. Colson Whitehead enough. Please read this book. And then read more of his writings.

True Lies - true fun
Arnold Schwarzenegger is fun but Jamie Lee Curtis is a hoot!! And the scenery in the Florida Keys is breathtaking. Very entertaining.

Malala
This is a book on 15 CDs. Wonderful for listening in the car on trips as well as jaunts around town. What a remarkable young woman and her story is compelling. I enjoyed it immensely.
