A little too heavy for my hair, but probably good if you're more wavy/frizzy than I am.
1 of 1 found this helpful I am quite wavy/frizzy underneath and smoother waves from my crown. Product works well if I use just a little underneath, but is too heavy for my crown. Definitely can't use by my roots on top as it feels/looks dirty next day and since I only wash my hair 3x/week I use very little of this product. Very wavy/frizzy hair would probably benefit from this product though.

Better than expected!
I ordered this belly guard because my gelding (total blood bay, literally attracts bugs even in cool months!) was just miserable with the bugs in the heavily wooded trails we ride. The last ride I did (before I purchased this) his belly was covered in tiny mosquitos that I could barely even see but made him nuts... The fly mask, horse tail hair swisher, and occasional fly sheet hood I use can only cover so much so thought I'd give this guard a try. The fact that is was by Cashel got me to take the chance. I have to say it worked and stayed on great while on a relaxed ride at the walk with a few jogs up hills! Once in awhile I had to pull the gathering strap over on his butt as it would wander to one side a bit (following his movement). My girlfriend thought I was nuts till I got it on (which was a bit confusing the first go with the way they had it velcroed to non-matching spots when shipped (???)), but it really helped protect him! I was impressed by the configuration of it with the extra space for the geldings to "drop" if needed. As far as turnout, haven't tried it yet but don't have a lot of confidence in it for that.... just walking all day would probably make it slide over, and a good roll may wreck it..
