Overall it works well
22 of 23 found this helpful Overall I like my new Dyson V7. I have a V6 and have used it often. The V7 is quieter but seems to have slightly less suction than the V6. The method of emptying the V7 is more efficient (as far as removing all of the debris in the canister) than the V6, but the mechanism for opening the debris canister is harder to release and is a "nail breaker" for those with long nails. On the regular suction setting, it lasts about 25 minutes before it needs recharging. I wish it had come with the hard surface cleaning head, as the carpet cleaning head is not very efficient on floors (the brush tends to throw things around before the suction can pick them up). Also a "constant on" feature would be useful as pressing the button constantly can get annoying.
