Basic guide rule
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a basic guide rule for making strait cuts with medium precision. It will do straight cuts quickly with decent precision. It saves time compared to using a clamped down board as a guide, but is not more curate. More accurate solutions exist, but are expensive and are not necessarily better than a simple solution as a straight piece of wood/metal and two clamps. For important cuts, use a sturdier solution than this simple rip fence.

Great IR thermometer for the hobbyist.
An IR thermometer that has surprisingly good build quality and offers great value for a modest cost ( $10). It is intended for diy work and not for professional use. It is a great little device for use at home. Check the temperature of the groceries in the fridge and the food on the stove, the heat dissipation from radiators, plumbing and electronics, find cold spots on walls and ceiling and much more...
Positive
* Great build quality.
* Perfect size. The handgrip fits my hand perfectly.
* The display is contrasty and well backlit.
* The red laser dot is really bright and helps aiming.
* Uses two AAA batteries.
Neutral
* Not as precise as a professional instrument.
* The buttons under the display are of the rubbery kind. The are ok, but could have been more distinct.
Negative
Nothing I can think of considering the price ( $10).
