Good strings for the money
I bought these strings to freshen up a guitar I was selling. I didn't want to spend a lot because everyone has their own tastes in strings. It's frustrating when someone buys a guitar I've restrung, and they say the first thing they'll do when they get home is change the strings. Such a waste. But it's difficult to sell a guitar with bad strings, and impossible to sell one with no strings. So I install some medium gauge, medium quality strings that perform well for the average player. These nickel wound strings do the job. They look good, sound good, and play well at a reasonable cost.

Excellent value for the dollar
I think Dean acoustics and electrics are under-rated guitars. I've had $100 to $450 versions of both, and they arrive from the factory well set-up, with great tuners and good sound, especially for the price. This model was no exception. I bought one at a very low price from a discount seller. It needed a few tweaks because I think it was a second, despite the seller's claim. I cleaned off some glue residue around the bridge, re-set one bridge pin, touched up one light spot of stain around the sound hole, aligned a case latch, and re-glued a small strip of case trim. One hour's work save me well over $100 from the typical retail price. My new acoustic is the transparent blue model, which is a deep, rich color, probably the best blue I've ever seen on an acoustic. The guitar has excellent action, good volume, and holds tuning well. It also has great tuners, strap buttons, nicely finished frets, and the usual well-styled bridge and headstock. The only weakness would be that there's not much bass in the sound spectrum, which is fine for strummers, but not ideal for finger-pickers. Maybe the sound might mature in time, but since the specs don't claim any solid woods, I assume the body is all laminate. Laminate is great for long-term stability, but not as good for long-term sound development. Again, however, a great value for the dollar.

Great value
Good assortment for acoustic players. Worth the money if you use only half the items.
