While the early 1980's were a time for new wave bands to carve-out their niche on the fledgling MTV (which used to run music videos 24/7, if you can believe that!), there were some classic rockers who emerged from the 1970's and exploded onto the rock scene in the early '80's. Billy Squier is one such rocker. His album "Don't Say No" was simply huge in 1981-82. Featuring rockers like "My Kinda Lover," "In the Dark" and "Loneley Is the Night," Squier echoed the recently concluded classic rock era of the Zeppelin-dominated 1970's. Although the album is probably best known for "The Stroke," I think songs like "Too Daze Gone" are far more pleasing to the ear than the borderline homo-erotic paen to masturbation. There's a lot of good music here to listen to which makes this CD a steal for the $5 and under you can invest on eBay or Half.com to get yourself a copy.
