1974 Spitfire

This is my second spitfire. It is the perfect car for open top cruising and fun to drive. It gets great gas mileage, important with today's prices. Every time I'm on the road or parking in a public place I get comments like; "cool car", "what kind of car is that", "Is that a MG". If you want a car that you don't have to open the hood, monitor fluids regularly, and air conditioning is a must have; stop reading now-- by a Miata or a Civic. Here is how you know the Spitfire is for you; 1) If you want to drive a classic piece of British engineering history, and view breaking down as an adventure on occassion. 2) are in to the nostalgia of float carburetors that require tuning 3) like the feel of rack and pinion manual steering 4) enjoy stepping out of your car and taking with you a hint of exhaust, I call it "perfume de combustion" 5) enjoy sitting in your garage reading operator manuals and like to tinker... by the way, parts are inexpensive and readily available. then this is could be your dream car!!! still on the fence, never driven or seen one... please refer to these websites before buying one.
