Goldwing Hitch

I have an 08 Goldwing and was looking for a rear hitch that would be pretty simple to install at a good price. Got this hitch for a good price. The quality is good, but it has taken quite a bit of modifying to install it. The first issue I had was getting the right side main bracket installed. This entailed having to remove (permanently) a muffler heat shield that is only on the right side of this year bike, just so the bracket would fit. I then had to cut some of the thread from the both U-Bolts, just so they would fit between the mufflers and the bottom of the side saddle bags. Then, when I attempted to install the two struts (secondary arms that are provided) they did not line up with the main bracket holes and did not reach down far enough, once they were bolted to the frame under the seat. In my case, I chose to just leave them out. I would say that if you plan on getting this model of hitch, be prepared for some frustration and modifying to get it to fit.
