Our Granddaughter Loved the Heroes of Olympus Collection
Our oldest granddaughter, age 12 and in 7th grade, has been an honor roll student her entire time in school. However, she had almost zero interest in reading. Heroes of Olympus changed that. She read all five in very short order. I ordered four more Riordan books which came with a hard bound "diary" selection and she is already half way through that set. She now loves recreational reading. They're good books: good subject matter presented in a wholesome manner. You won't regret introducing your child or grandchild to Rick Riordan's material.

Worked into the wood easily and left a beautiful finish.
I used Briwax to restore the finish on an antique walking stick that was my grandfather's. The wood was severely dried and was beginning to crack toward the tip. Briwax made a color (golden oak) that perfectly matched the original wood. I coated the walking stick with the wax and after waiting for several minutes began using a soft cotton cloth to polish the stick. I applied additional wax to the bottom portion that had turned lighter and brought that portion back to the same color as the remainder of the stick. It is beautiful. I'm very pleased that I was able to restore the walking stick wikthout the use of stain.
