Air America – or how I wish it really had been.
I had seen this movie years ago and it had reminded me of the times I had in Southeast Asia in the late 60s early 70s. However now as I approach 70 it's nice to look back and make the corners rounded over! I'd like to see a sequel of this made to kind of finish the story. Our mechanics were virtually all Filipino and they had brought their families over there with them. Many of my finest memories were the parties and interaction we had with our Filipino counterparts. They were dedicated, full of them and vigor, and loved their families and kids. Our involvement in the war was highly underrated. However I believe we did a lot of good for a lot of people who otherwise would not be alive today. Thank you for being able to provide me with some memories even though a lot of them are comical in Hollywood scripted I think we still did a lot of good. Final thought, this is so much more the way it was then the series "MASH" ever thought of being.
