Killer deal
These strings feel just a touch different than the original super slinky's, but they sound just as good (they may have better, I didn't do a side by side comparison with the original kind)
I had never tried them before, but I would buy again! Awesome deal!

Great value, incredible deal
Peavey catches a bad rap sometimes, but there's a reason they're still around. I got this cabinet to pair with my Peavey Classic 30 tube amp, and it does wonders as part of a little stack. Before I purchased this cabinet, I had replaced the stock Blue Marvel speaker in my amp with a Celestion Vintage 30. When I went online to find a matching cab, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product comes stock with Celestion Vintage 30 (same speakers preferred by Slash and Peter Frampton) Considering that's a $150 speaker, this is an incredible deal.
The cabinet itself is very sturdy, with a luxury leather (maybe pleather?) carrying handle. The rubber feet that came stock do the job, but with the added weight of my full amp on top (not just an amp head), it didn't seem as solid standing as I wanted. The problem was easily fixed with a set of large Peavey rubber feet($5-$10), which I ended up purchasing for my amp as well. If you plan on using this cabinet with a small guitar amp head, you'll have absolutely no problems with the feet that come on it.
It also says that the back is optional- it totally is, and as menial as this may seem, it actually made a noticeable difference in the tone. I opted to re-install the back after trying it open. Since the back of my amp is open, and it's the same speaker as the cab, keeping the cabinet enclosed really filled in my tone.
NOTE - I use it as the bottom of a stack - THIS CABINET DOES NOT LINE UP PERFECTLY WITH THE PEAVEY CLASSIC 30 AMPLIFIER DIMENSIONS! The cabinet is about 2 inches wider than the amplifier itself. Although my classic 30 is the first run of the model (the one with no standby switch) I don't think they've changed the dimensions of the enclosure of the newer models. That was not a make or break for me, and it gives me a nice little shelf on stage for my picks/slides/etc..
BEFORE YOU BUY- do some research online! I found a lot of retailers online who advertised this same cabinet as 8ohms. As far as I know, peavey doesn't make an 8ohm tweed cab. It is rated at 16ohms - in my case, the speaker in my tube amp is 16ohms, and the cabinet is also 16ohms. When I run the line out of the amp and through the cabinet as well, BOTH SPEAKERS are then at 8ohms, even though they're both actually 16ohm speakers. (that's what happens when you calculate resistance in parallel!) so if they're claiming its 8ohms, give it a good run over and see if they're mistaken!
With my experience on 12 years of electric guitar, and 4 gigs a weekend the past 2 years, I have seriously never been happier with my amp setup. It sounded great right out of the box, I can only imagine how it'll be when the speaker breaks in!
