Not a worthy Electric Mistress clone
I got this to replace my 90s era EHX flanger, which takes up a lot of space on my board, has a 3-prong cord for its only source of power, and had become noisy.
The Mooer, as awesome as the nano size in, does not sound AT ALL like my EHX, which to my ears is the nicest sounding, most musical flanger ever.
I can not find a setting on the Mooer that doesn’t sound like an airport tarmac. There is no subtlety to the whooshing jet sound. That might work for some folks but not me.
The price and small footprint made it worth taking a shot, but after a few shows with the pedal on my board, I’ve opened up the EHX and hopefully fixed it (seems to work fine now after resoldering a wire and getting some contact cleaner in the guts) and I’ll live with the big box on the board for the superior tone generated by the Deluxe Electric Mistress. She’s the one for me.
Mooer made a noble effort, but simply can’t touch the real thing.
