Converted router works perfectly as satellite!
This converted RBR50 is working perfectly as a satellite. It is the middleman in my four device daisy chain. Once the connections stabilize it is rock solid, running 2.6.1.40 firmware. Very pleased!

Good addition to a smart home
This is a good product if you're already invested in the Google Nest home ecosystem. Installation was relatively easy on a door precut to standard sizes, although it was a little hard to adjust the deadbolt to the shorter throw. Adding to my home network and Nest account took a little fiddling, but the end result is worth it. I love the coded entry, and locking the deadbolt by placing your hand on the pad and not needing to fumble with a key is very nice. Being able to say "hey Google, lock the door" is very convenient. I would always want to have a way to get in my house with a key, but I may put this lock on my main entry and exit doors.
