Shocked by the perfect Chromebook
Kids were using Chromebooks at school due to remote learning. Decided to get one for the Summer coincident to a birthday. Did in-depth research and bought this product on its release/introduction. The hardware is consistent with a very well made light but durable notebook. I was not a Chrome OS expert...and have learned A LOT. Of course you get the Google ecosystem of apps - check. But you also get Play Store apps that one gets on Android phones. Obviously thats an amazing library; some of those apps are well written enough to take advantage of the beautiful touch-screen real estate. And then there's the Linux shell that is a full functioning Linux system. Here are the caveats. IF you set up parental controls, it prevents use of some very basic apps like YouTube. It forces to YouTube Kids vers which is too limiting. You cannot sideload apps on the device unless you load Linux. You can't load Linux unless you run in developer mode...which is less stable. We had a problem in dev mode and had to wipe the O/S. So, Linux and sideloading may not be for everyone. All this said and with this experience, WE BOUGHT A SECOND ONE 8 weeks later for another family member primarily for email and internet use. I highly recommend as the best single value in computing...better value than mobile phone, Windows PC, ios device or other Chromebook. This is a special device. Best bang for the buck in computing I've seen since the TRS-80 (old people reference).

Grace jacket - beautiful workmanship
Amazing product, beautiful finishing...but, alas, these touches are not inexpensive. Ultimately, there are certainly better values, but probably not much better quality and style.

Small, easy, amazing
Product was well priced. Plugged in and was immediately accessible to the Androud App. Configuration options include scheduling. Integrated with Google Home allowing verbal commands to control device from either mobile app or Google Home device. "Turn on coffee"!!!! Great functionality, unlimited potential uses.
