Plastic Screen Protectors are for me!
Most screen protectors are made of glass, which isn't flexible. I like the plastic ones because they can flex while being fitted to the phone. In my case, I need to peel it up to avoid the air bubbles that always sneak under the screen protector. Plastic is easier to peel up and try again.

Battery life is no better than my old one
2 of 2 found this helpful My 5 year old battery was going dead by late afternoon, so I bought this one figuring it would have a longer battery life. Not really. I still have to re-charge in the evening sometimes, so buying this battery proved a waste of money for me.

Awesome Signal Generator / Scalar Analyzer for the price!
This is a fabulous unit for the price. I bought the TPI-1001B model to test an old radio. Before using it, I checked the TPI-1001B to make sure it was accurate using my R&S Spectrum Analyzer. The two units differed a bit at the frequency I was testing (98 MHz), but not enough to cause concern - about a dB of difference or so all the way down to -90 dBm. Not bad for a generator that costs less than $400!
The TPI-1001B is powered by the USB cable and controlled by TPI-Link software. The software loaded onto my WIN10 computer with no problem and it offers some dazzling control of the generator to include square wave modulation of either frequency or amplitude (or both at once, I suspect but didn't try). The square wave source may be internally generated (and controlled as to the square wave's frequency and duty cycle and even number of cycles to modulate before shutting modulation off) or externally applied.
For FM sine wave modulation, you'll need to apply a sine wave to one of the BNC connectors from an external sine wave generator.
The TPI-1001B can also scan frequencies with control of factors such as Sawtooth or Triangle frequency (up or down) steps and also scan amplitudes with Sawtooth or Triangle amplitude steps (and the steps can be different from each other - one could be Sawtooth Down while the other is Triangle Up, for example).
The TPI-1001B has a power detector with a decent (around 50 dB) dynamic range. This allows you to sweep filters, couplers and attenuators. The large array of setting options allow you to customize things like the color of the sweep, capture and hold max and min trace excursions on the display and calibrate away the variation of the power output. On my unit, there was a 4.5 dB reported variation on a sweep from 35 MHz to 2.2 GHz (according to the TPI-1001B's markers). Some of that is the foot-long RG-142B jumper coax I'm using but that isn't really all that critical because, when sweeping a filter or attenuator, you need to cancel-out the power variation (sometimes called "doing a calibration") anyway in order to start your measurements with a flat Analyzer line.
The TPI-1001B also executes scripts, though I haven't explored this aspect yet.
Another positive to report. I sent TPI an email asking why I couldn't change the frequency a certain way that I prefer. To my surprise, I got an email alerting me that TPI made the change I suggested and sent me a beta version of TPI-Link. All within hours of me sending my email. How's that for responsiveness?
For the reasonable price, you'd be hard pressed to find an RF Signal Generator / Analyzer as capable and versatile as the TPI-1001B.
