When I asked after two weeks why it hadn't shipped, he went into a rant about being pursued by assassins, instead of addressing my concern. Then he cancelled the order two days later. Big ole waste of time!

Quiet and Reliable
2 of 2 found this helpful The drive arrives brand new and uninitialized and gives you 1 TB plus an additional 202 MB of storage space when formatting it with NTFS. I like it and will probably get another one.

Perfect addition to PC drive collection
Whether you have many older floppies laying around or want to use older technology in today's computing, this floppy disk drive is the perfect addition to any computer setup.
Though the storage space on the media used for this drive is limited, 1.44 megabytes worth of storage is an unprecedented amount for certain projects, (like interfacing Arduino boards to your PC through USB for read/write operations to any of your disk drives).
For my application, I'll be using this drive to store boot code binaries that will execute on a remote Arduino DUE board in ram and only be accessible via a PC computer program.
For the purpose of my program, I'll give the Arduino board access to all PC drives except for the A: drive to keep the boot code and executable binaries safe from unauthorized access.
Overall from an Arduino's point of view, potential for a 1.44 MB binary that initializes and controls the Arduino DUE is a super huge amount that can allow for the Arduino hardware to handle all I/O on the board including DAC output and Keyboard input where functions are triggered based on which keys are pressed of what the byte values are in in application binary in the boot code on the A: floppy.

Great item that works right away
This drive was surprisingly easy to use. I was debating whether the use of it was going to be difficult being an Apple HDD with Apple firmware in it's circuitry, but then can confirm that the SATA standard is implemented the same way on the device regardless of what computer architecture is using the device. I loaded Windows 8.1 on it and the thing boots up completely in 15 seconds.
