Old technology still needed!
A friend had some old photo negatives and with some of these photo programs available through
phone apps or the internet, thought I would see if I could process them. Thought of making a light box but decided to see if anything would be available on E bay. Sure enough a good quality Slide and Photo negative viewer was available.
Laid out the negatives on the light box and took a photo with my digital camera, then using a program that converts photos into a negative, was able to reconstruct the black and white photos.
Course the larger the negative and good exposure initially makes reproducing a good photo possible.

Cheap item to replace a defective cheap item
The timer that this item was replacing didn't appear to be any better design than the original. From reading online entries this particular timer has a record of failing. It seems to freeze in place then the plastic know cracks and spins around the shaft giving the false impression that you are selecting the cycle of drying you choose. But the timer has frozen into the off position.
I took the cover off of my defective timer to see if it would reveal defective gears or some mechanical problem. Not seeing anything unusual I suspected the timer motor itself was probably the culprit.
The new item received did fix the problem but I didn't feel like it was going to be a permanent fix.
The control knob fit sort of loosely on the shaft. The person that I installed it for seemed to be happy that it worked.

Old fishing buddy
1 of 1 found this helpful Have always liked the Mitchell 300 series reels. These are antiques now but still work great and I enjoy
fishing with them. I've had several ones that have been laying around and I soaked them in Auto Transmission
fluid, wiped them off and sprayed with WD 40 and they are as smooth as silk again.
