Lost in Austen

Wonderfully warm, long, chick flick.

The cover blurb calls this film "effortless" enjoyment, which is not correct. It is a three tissue chick flick. My view is that very good movies always seem to be over too soon, while not so good ones are too long. This film is quite long, taking the time to work through its imaginative plot thoroughly, and it is very good, developing characters who are worth getting to know, Somewhere between "Kate and Leopold," "Being John Malkovich," and "Pride and Prejudice," it's a warm and wonderful experience.

Excellent !

Terrific book. Stands head and shoulders above a number of others I have bought (to prepare for teaching a drama class). Brightly written, with solid analysis and understanding. Consistently stresses its recommendations with concrete examples. Shows signs that the author developed these exercizes and refined them with classroom experience. Highly recommended.

This is violence porn.

You know how when someone has been found guilty of a hideous crime against another person or persons, and it turns out he tormented animals as a child ? Actual, well-known actors agreed to play roles in this movie, and I can only imagine they did it in order to provide an insight into the evil lurking within some human beings. Gruesome. If you enjoy this movie, see a shrink right away.
