A durable native keyboard for Mac
1 of 1 found this helpful I gave up on current Mac keyboards as they aren't made to take the kind of abuse and intense use I subject them to. I needed a keyboard that was durable, and also easy to fix if something did break.
That's why I came back to this keyboard. I'll admit it, I'm sometimes a slob as my desk is also my dining area since I live in an efficiency. I also have cats. I need a keyboard that can put up with more abuse than usual but still be user-serviceable. This keyboard meets all those requirements.
I also grew up learning to type on a typewriter. This keyboard is closer to what I came of age using. It requires a little more force when typing, but the feeling of the keys clicking and the feedback I get will tell me without looking if I missed a keystroke.
Best of all, it just plain works with my Mac Pro (2009 but upgraded to Catalina).

An older camera with a lot of years left in it.
3 of 4 found this helpful This is easily one of the best bargains for a Sony APSC-sized sensor camera out there. It is 16 megapixels which seems low by todays standards, but keep in mind that many people are happy with 12 megapixel cameras on iPhones. The big difference is that different lenses can be used, noise suppression can be manipulated in RAW files and pixel peepers will get more detail. It is a Sony model so getting native lenses won't be a problem. Even old manual lenses from other cameras can be used with adapters. There is a zoom-to-focus button so when I use my old Zeiss knockoff Jupiter-8 lens, I can be sure that I'm getting the shot pin sharp. I like having more control over my camera than I could get with my iPhone and this is the perfect solution. Another important feature is that I can use almost any 3rd party remote shutter release with it. The NEX models before and after it didn't have that option included. NEX models that can be remotely shutter released are dependent on Sony support since it is a software-only option. The problem is as those models get older, Sony will stop supporting them and remote shutter release will stop working. Owners of those camera models won't have any other choices then. The 3N is future proof in that regard.
