Wonderully Resonant and Thin Profile
Ibanez S521: A wonderfully resonant and thin profile. I play rhythm & blues , rock and classical. The stock pickups sound great. I'm going to add push push coil tap volume and tone pots, clean the fret board and frets but other than a few small additions the guitar played great right out of the box and I knew instantly this guitar is a keeper. 2019 marked the end of this line using Mahogany.
The S521 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a fixed bridge, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuners.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced by jatoba. For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with meranti. For 2020 the bridge was changed to the F106.
Body material:
2014–2018: Mahogany
2019–2020: Meranti
Neck material:
1-piece maple

Flux
I bought the flux paste to help adhere solder to electric guitar tone pots. It works quite well and as intended.
A good value for the money. I recommend it.

Huge Tone At A Fraction of The Cost
I've mixed the GM.25 Cal neck and bridge pickups on my Fender and Ibanez guitars. The picture shown is my Ibanez S521 with a Lace Sensor Nitro Hemi in bridge and GM .25 Cal in neck position. The GM .25 is wired in parallel and is as clear full and textured as the Lace Sensor. The Lace pickup sells for $220 per set. This is the best money I've spent on a set of guitar pickups. I plan to purchase more.
