Vienna Boys Choir

i bought it to replace a copy that had been lost. My father was German born, and bought the record at a discount store in the early '60s when I was a child. After his death in '84 it became a tradition with my family to play it every year as we were putting up the Christmas tree. When I moved from Texas to Georgia 10 years ago almost everything I owned was left behind and eventually lost when my mother unexpectedly sold her house and it's contents. It just hasn't seemed like Christmas since, without the record. I guess I bought it to recapture a piece of my childhood.

Nice idea, rough paper

If it could be just a little bit absorbent it would be nice. It does last a lot longer than what I was using, and I love that it doesn't contribute to deforestation, but it's about as soft and absorbent as notebook paper.

I love it

Grinds very evenly, and as quietly as hard beans can be crunched by metal teeth. It's easy to overfill the cup as the material is dark and hard to see through, but the Baratza website has an awesome video on how to unclog it after you do so. Makes me wish the one it replaced had died long before it did.
