Definitely "Reader copies" - condition was perhaps slightly better than described, but nothing above a VG mainly purchased to fill a few holes in my collection. Arrived in less than a week. My only beef is with the packaging. books were packed with no backing boards, in a priority mail cardboard env. only one was in a thin polypropylene bag, like saran wrap. don't use this type of bag for storage. it leaks plasticizers over time, makse the paper brown, brittle. $17 too much for this envelope.

Thanks again.
The preamps by this manufacturer are quirky, but very high quality and have the features professionals appreciate. If this were a product by a major manufacturer, all the settings would be controlled from labyrinthine menus or a bluetooth app. Thankfully, JuicedLink has everything available full time via dip switches on the bottom (top?) of the unit. A little old-fashioned and you'll need a paper clip to switch them, but at least you can see instantly how you're set (provided you haven't already mounted the unit). The gain pots are a little hard to control (difficult to make fine adjustments and also hard to get to for big fingers). The unit seems sturdy, and although it's a bit of a brick, it's not large and I can't necessarily think of a much better form factor. I wish it wasn't 9v with a wacky battery door (I take piles of AA on location with me, I'd rather just use those for everything if possible) but again not the end of the world. And the one feature I really do wish was digital is the gain meter. There are only a couple light-up bulbs to show you low, medium, and clip. I have enough experience to know how hot I want the signal by listening, but for a beginner this is going to be a guessing game. You buy this unit because it's reliable and has outstanding clarity and low noise. I've owned many other units that provide the same function, this one is better than all of them. It's also the same price or cheaper in general. If you want pro, get this. If you want cute, easy, and cool, get another one.

Remarkable camera
I shoot video. The camera is well known for it's low light capabilities, which alone would merit the price. The image quality is excellent, the 4K internal compression is usable in most cases. I do wish I could use more of my glass with it, but the large sensor prevents usage of my vintage cine lenses. The menus are ok, but I've been shooting with this menu system for over a year and still can't remember where certain things are. It's small, light, versatile. If you need to shoot video within the DSLR form factor, look no further.
