great heat
great heat for a low powered unit... I do my own guitar mods and working with small gage wires requires quick heat. quick heat meas clean, low solder content welds, with no/minimal collateral damage. For desoldering I like to use a 40 watt with wicks, but this works well in tight places.
I haven't had this long but first impressions are favorable....
keep your tips tinned.

poor Quality for a DD part...
1 of 4 found this helpful good idea but take a close look at the definition of the internal edges... not sharp... too rounded. consequence ... very difficult to imposiboe to engage the eges of the rail...these parts need sharp precise edging on the gripping surfaces.

great stuff. will tolerate quite a bit of heat
I use this to secure copper grounding buss in guitar, tolerates soldering iron.
