I look forward to using it in the spring.
0 of 1 found this helpful I have not yet used the gauge, but bought one after reading very entusiastic reviews elsewhere. It's large, all plastic to avoid breakage from freezing. I look forward to installing it on our deck rail next spring. I'd rather not have it suffer from winter's wear. A rain gauge seems more meaningful in the other three seasons in my NJ climate. The gauge is of a very clever design and should be readable from quite a distance.
UPDATE APRIL, 2017. THE PLASTIC CONTAINER DID CRACK IN FREEZING WEATHER, BUT i BOUGHT ANOTHER OF THE SAME GAUGE. i'LL TRY TO REMEMBER TO BRING IT INDOORS DURING COLD WEATHER.
ALSO, THE RED PLASTIC FLOATING BAR FADED TO WHITE AFTER THREE MONTHS IN THE SUNLIGHT, BUT STILL USABLE.

Clear black and white photos with short captions of K-F models from 1947-1955. A basic history of the company and worthwhile even with it's brevity.
A useful reference for K-F owners and those who want an interesting brief history of the company. Color photos would have made this book much more compelling.

Good sharpener
A good quality pencil sharpener, good price.. Does the job and sharpens a pencil well.
