Remo Radiant Tambourine

I have been into drums and percussion instruments since my middle school days in the late 70's. I have always been a big fan of the Remo drum heads, ESPECIALLY the oil filled series as that is the ONLY head I use on my drums. I knew that this tambourine was not an oil filled head, and did not expect it to be, but I was a little disappointed at how thin the head was when I received the tambourine. The instrument does have a nice sound to it. The head does however "feel" a little thin, it feels like something that would come on a kid's Chinese toy. Perhaps it is a little more durable than it feels, as I have always been impressed and very happy with Remo drum heads. I do hope that it is a durable high quality head. The Remo name is WHY I purchased this tambourine. Overall for the price break I am very happy with the purchase. It looks great, it sounds great and hopefully the head is durable and lasts! J.
