Useful Instant Pot Add-on for Air Frying and More.
1 of 1 found this helpful The Instant Pot Air Fryer lid works well to allow air frying when you've already bought an Instant Pot. Capacity with the included insert basket is small, but if you use two or three grates in the Instant Pot liner instead, capacity is better. Six inch round screens work well. Works as an air fryer, or roaster or baker. I have even toasted bread in it. French fries with only a bit of sprayed oil are possible and tasty without fat! Air fries about two servings of french fries or a large whole baked potato, sliced into fries.
Complete Metalsmith Professional Edition New

Complete Metalsmith Professional Edition about the same as other editions.
I am a great fan of Tim McCreight's and bought this to replace my old first edition, thinking there would be more material in this updated edition. I didn't find much new in this edition. The hand printing of the first edition is replaced with typeset text, but the text was almost the same. This edition lays flat on your workbench, but so did the smaller paperback first edition. If you don't have a copy of this book and you are a jewelry craftsperson, get one. However, you can probably get a copy of the charming first edition a lot cheaper than this one and you won't worry if it gets soiled, as you can always get another for cheap. If you want a deluxe hardbound copy, this is it.

Braun WF2S a winner
I read hundreds of shaver reviews of this Braun and many other products before I decided to buy the Waterflex. It seems like all the shavers received about 15% very negative reviews. Some of these refer to pinching or pulling and others just don't think an electric shaves as well as a blade. Having used several electrics in the past, I knew that they don't pull and pinch on my face. I also knew not to expect as close a shave with an electric as you can get with a four or five blade modern blade shaver. The thing is that it takes extra time to shave with a blade and you can always end up with nicks and cuts at times, no matter how good the blade is. Also, currently blade cartridges cost about 75 cents to a dollar each and don't last more than a week or so. I've managed to get good use out of blade by shaving first with my old Norelco electric and then using a four blade which I strop at each use on a towel, which helps resharpen it. But all this takes time, so I was attracted to an electric that could be used dry or wet and even in the shower and could be rinsed dry. I've had the Waterflex about two weeks now and it has met or exceeded expectations. I have tried it both dry (good shave) and wet (slightly better, with the right product). It does charge in about an hour and does give me a full week of shaves on one charge. I have used it with Neutragena tube shave cream and Gillette gel in an aerosol can. Both worked OK and maybe a bit better than dry, but I got the best shave using ShaveSecret oil. This latter product is about four bucks at Wally and you wet your face and use about five or six drops. Wet face again as needed. The main knock on ShaveSecret is that it's a little expensive. I figure I'll get 30 to 60 days worth out of a bottle, not that expensive. But, to me the menthol tingle and smell is nice and the shave is improved. One wonk said you could do the same with grape seed oil and a little essential oil added as a scent, for a lot less. If you do, you'll need to keep the grape seed oil in the fridge or freezer to keep it from going rancid.
While I find a shave with a sharp blade a little better than one with the Waterflex, the latter is a pretty close second. Sometimes I hop in the shower and then shave again after I'm done, gong over the places that felt a little rough in the shower. And I can hit my face again in the evening before going out and this only takes a minute or two.
I really like the way you can pop the screen off and wash the whole shave to clean it up. I bought a used ("once") one because I knew I could wash the whole thing in alcohol to clean it up. If you drop it in the tub, it is waterproof down to one meter. One reviewer liked the shaver but said it shaved even better with the 51B replacement head...so after 18 months when you replace the head, get this one.
