Works as expected.
Looks good. Installation was fairly easy except the two studs that the nuts go on had to be trimmed about 1/2" as they were triple the length of the original latch. Operates as expected. Be careful just yanking on it as the black portion is plastic. The right side flexes enough that sometimes it won't open. Using the left side slowly it works every time.
If you're rebuilding a show truck or one that the tailgate isn't opened multiple times a day, this is perfect. If you need one to stand up to work truck abuse, get a latch assembly with a metal handle.

Great Hardware!
I put this drive in my older gaming laptop. These days I use it as a backup to my desktop and for tele-health appointments as it has the webcam and mic. The old drive was a 1TB 7200 rpm model. The machine boots in under 20 seconds now and the games load in less than half the time they used to. Definitely recommend as either a primary drive or as a secondary for running games on.
