IRobot 4296 Roomba Scheduler

This vacuum works great for what it does. I bought it to sweep the tile kitchen floor everyday because we have a dog that sheds all over the tile. There are days it will get stuck here and there, or it may move its charging base and not be able to get back to it, but for the most part it works very well. I like the fact that there are lots of hobbiest and tinkerers out there that have these robots, so if something goes wrong, chances are you can find a fix. My base charger wasn't working when I got mine, but I was able to find info and change a transistor that fixed the problem. I have tested this unit around stairs, going over carpets and rugs, around chairs, and I was very impressed how well it does. Its a good idea to place chairs and other obstacles to minimize what it has to go around. It does pretty well on rugs/carpets as well as hard floors. It doesn't really vacuum, but the scrubbing brush does very well for getting stuff off of the surface. And, if you have this unit run everyday on a schedule, stuff won't have a chance to get ground in. Don't get me wrong, you will still have to use the real vaccuum periodically, but this unit will help keep your floors looking nice in between.
