Pulman gangways
So funny. Pulman and Gresley and BR mark one coaches use Pulman gangways. Pulman gangways touch each other so act as buffers between the coaches. They work with Buckeye couplings which provide the pull between the coaches. The gangways provide the push, and can resist over one hundred tons. The actual buffers on a BR mark one coach can only resist a force of fifty tons each and are withdrawn when the Pulman gangwys and Buckeye couplers are in use. When. A screw coupling is used in an emergency, a saddle on each buffer holds the buffers forwards, and the Pulman gangways do not touch. Flexible gangwys are called British standard gangways and are used by early DMUs, LMS, GWR and early SR ( big four pre 1948 company) coaches not Pulman/Bullied/Gresley coaches. The gangways do look good, but are inacurate as noted.

Great product
While these boxes will break, they are much more robust than any other boxes that I have found. They are really robust, make good steps to stand on, stack really well, and are a really easy method of storing and moving your items. I have got lots of this particular size, as well as the 9 litre, which stack nicely with them and are useful for slightly larger items.
