Simply Amazing
1 of 2 found this helpful Don't let the size, or price of this dongle fool you. You can do a lot for $30, especially with the large amount of FREE software that you can download and install. Out of the package, my Windows 10 laptop immediately recognized the dongle and I was ready to go. If it doesn't work, you can download the drivers needed in the Nooelec website. In terms of tuning and listening, I recommend downloading SDR Sharp (It's FREE) to start out with. Decoding digital radio systems like Project 25, DMR, and NXDN is possible with the help of software called 'DSDPlus'. While it takes some time to set up, it works like a charm and is FAR cheaper than purchasing a scanner, which may require a paid upgrade to receive just ONE of those modes. The included antennas have a magnet mount which holds well and can placed on a cookie sheet or any other magnetic surface. The antennas are decent, but I personally find the telescopic one to be the best, since you can tune it to the frequencies you're listening to. All in all, I'm very happy with this dongle and I can't believe I waited so long to dive into SDR. If you're on the fence, don't wait, go for it!

Transmitter works great, and does have a much longer range than most other dongles. It works perfectly for my needs.
