Engaging story of character, art, societal norms
Although I thought I knew a lot about Mapplethorpe, his art, and how his art affected our culture, this DVD filled in many gaps I had. It is a story well told.

Bose has the sound
I have several Bose products and appreciate them all. The Cinemate 15 provides excellent sound. Out of character for Bose, the woofer actually has a knob on the back to adjust the level of bass. Normally, Bose provides for zero sound adjustments. There are no on-screen displays of any kind, so you just hold the up or down button until the sound level is what you want. There is no sound level number or other indicator to return to a familiar sound level. There is a tiny LED light on the sound bar that indicates it is on, flashes when it is muted, and goes off when holding the volume up or down button until you stop. One thing I prize with Bose is the sound quality that is rich and natural. I turn the Cinemate bass up pretty loud and it still is not harsh and doesn't bother the neighbors. I asked! The system is super easy to set up. I replaced a Sony surround sound system that was rather lame from day one. If I had a theater set-up with a dedicated room, a serious surround system would be great, but in my large living room, this Bose is so much better than an ill-suited surround system. Bose prices always seem like a lot, but there truly is nothing like the sound they produce. One gripe is that the Bose universal remote doesn't work with any of my new and near-new components. One added feature I like is that Cinemate turns off on its own after a certain time of no input. Turn off the television and forget to turn off the Bose ... no problem. It will go off by itself. Self Help Massage Tool
I have been using Thera Canes for many years to work on problem areas between receiving professional massages. It is especially helpful for hard to reach areas such as the back. I am now in my 9th year as a professional massage therapist. I have a few Thera Canes in reserve as loaners for my clients. With very little instruction, my clients can properly use the tool to achieve significant benefits.
