Great collection for Beach Boys Collectors!
Great Collection... Disc 6 includes some amazing rare tracks (from the vaults)!

AN UNDER-APPRCIATED ALBUM!
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this Remastered CD, since I am a LIFELONG ELO Fan, to complete my "Remastered" ELO discs collection... for some reason I never found this cd in the stores! MY FAVORITE ELO album of ALL TIME is "TIME" from 1981. "SECRET MESSAGES" (released 2 years later) sounded like it COULD have been released with TIME as a 2 cd set... then I recently read that SECRET MESSAGES was ORIGINALLY INTENDED to BE RELEASED as a 2 CD SET on its own!, but the record company decided to "downsize" the project into just one cd. I have heard RUMORS that it WILL BE RELEASED as originally intended (with a previously UNHEARD song about JEFF's MUSICAL IDOLS, THE BEATLES!), but I couldn't wait, I had to hear the BONUS TRACKS! I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! Some ELO fans did not care for the TIME and SECRET MESSAGES albums, But I THINK they are UNDER-APPRECIATED as the ELO MASTERPIECES they are! JEFF LYNNE is an amazingly talented singer-songwriter.
IF YOU ENJOY these two albums, be SURE to check out ELO's "COME-BACK" album from 2001... titled "ZOOM" - it is ANOTHER JEFF LYNNE Masterpiece... which SADLY, WENT UN-NOTICED! Best Tracks on "SECRET MESSAGES:" The title cut, BLUEBIRD, TAKE ME ON AND ON, STRANGER, and my FAVORITE: "LETTER FROM SPAIN."
and Don't Forget the TOP 40 HIT, ROCK'N ROLL is KING! GREAT STUFF!

UNDER-RATED ROCK BAND
1 of 1 found this helpful Great Fusion Rock Band: Rock, Psychedelic with a little Jazz thrown in! Very under-rated Los Angeles Group (1967-73, )... Mechanical World, their first single is a masterpiece! Plus several hit LP tracks like Fresh Garbage, Uncle Jack, and their big hit I've Got a Line on You, and another favorite forgotten hit single, 1984, included as a bonus track... also Animal Zoo, Nature's Way, Dark Eyed Woman and Mr. Skin... Group featured Singer and sometime keyboarist, Jay Ferguson who would form Jo Jo Gunne (Run Run Run 1972) with Spirit bassist, Mark Andes in '71 after both quit Spirit Jay also had a short solo career (Thunder Island, Shakedown Cruise, 1977-79), Andes later helped form Firefall and joined Heart (1980)... Drummer Ed Cassidy, step-father of fellow Spirit Founder, Randy California (Guitar), played in many Jazz and even some Country bands early in his career, playing in the Rising Suns with Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder (1964). In '65, he formed the Red Roosters with his stepson, Ferguson and Andes. They Added keyboardist John Locke in '67 and became SPIRIT... Ed and Randy moved to Mercury Records in '75 releasing another 11 LP's... This is Great Collection of SPIRIT's first 5 Epic Albums!
