Excellent light for excellent price, professional quality.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been shooting stills and motion pictures for 33 years... after trying a few styles of LED lights to replace my hot lights. I liked the idea of lights that were shaped similar to my strobes.. These fit the bill, I had tried another brand that was 200 watts, both died in short order, and were much more expensive.... these on the other hand have better color, are well built, aluminum extrusion body... the Bowens mount is solid and accessories clicks right in... and just as easily removes, I don't care for remote controls or any of that kind of gimmick, don't need digital trim, a nice smooth dial works great.. on/off and dial to you get what you want for output, the mount is fine and solid, cranks nice and tight with leverage.. it's spring loaded so you can pull out and free spin it if you need to... I like the color for skin tones, it seems a tad warm, but I prefer a tad warm, if you don't it is well within adjusting to your taste, no hint of green. Now for what counts, output..so I took some readings, at 9 feet, at 100% power, 400 iso I got (at 50th of a second) just shy of F5.6 .... now that I can work with.... I tried a soft box with 2 layers of diffusion and still got about F2.8, and now that cameras are capable of shooting quality imagery at 1000 iso and above, that is enough light... so I plan to buy about 7 more.. and can use the same setups I use for strobes.. no heat.... so far the best COB single chip led light I have found for the buck, gives a nice crisp shadow if you want it, or shoot it through a grid, soften it with a soft box, just about a perfect constant light source, with no blown breakers.... or crazy heat...

can't complain for the price....
a 55 inch softbox that works for this price, I don't know who anybody can complain, I've paid more then this for the speedring alone.... in days past.... and photographer 101 is learning how to put together a softbox, it's acquired skill that I've been doing for 33 years... the umbrella, easy pop soft boxes are a new idea...... practice you'll get good at putting together a softbox with a speedring.... the good news is, just change out the speedring and they will work on any kind of light you have.... the grid strips are way too narrow to serve any purpose but otherwise the box works fine....

The inside of the female that fits the spigot side does not have a adequate surface for a washer to seal against, so it leaks...
