I didn't have an Apple Watch before this and I was hesitant to spend money on a "smart watch" when I have a phone with me. But I wanted to better track my health and fitness, plus run without carrying my phone. have now had it for a week and I hardly carry my phone with me any more. I can take calls, reply to text, see if emails merit response, Apple Pay, track reps/weight during my workout, and it only uses about 25% of the battery 4am to 9pm. I also work in the construction industry and the watch has already taken some hits without any issues. Unfortunately I don't have anything else to compare it to, but I can say I'm not remorseful about my buy.
