This is what should come with the mixer in the first place. Never worry about the coating coming off again. It didn't fit exactly for me (maybe the locking pin is a little different) so there was some interference with the mixing bowl. However, I know someone with a TIG welder and was able to build up the notch to position the beater high enough to not interfere with the mixing bowl. Probably not for the average user but worked out great for me. 5 stars if it was just plug and play.
