Excellent first camera for a child. Light in weight but strong in capability.
I bought this camera for my 10 year old granddaughter. It fits her hand perfectly and takes great photos.

One of the very best old Nikon lenses, available for a modest price.
1 of 1 found this helpful What a fabulous lens! I known about this lens for many years, but I only just now got one for my Nikon D90. Of course there is no auto focus, and you can't even use the camera's light meter in a manual mode, but the picture quality makes up for it. Fortunately, you can guess the exposure, check it by examining the photo just after you snap the shutter, adjust the shutter or f-stop and shoot again. That doesn't work too well when you're trying to catch a butterfly or other fast moving object, so be prepared. When you finally get a well exposed photo of the butterfly, you'll be amazed by the detail.
(P.S. make sure you get the later AI version of the lens; the earlier version won't work with more recent cameras.)
