Hard to find prewar Lionel info is easily available in this book. Highly recommend.

Better but not Best

Great music but not the best sound. The deluxe edition is better than the original but still muddy. Of skynyrd’s first 6 albums this is my least favorite because of the sound quality. I’m still looking for a better version. Great songs but production doesn’t do them justice - a few of the songs on Gold & Platinum are so much clearer.

Muddy and Harsh Live ZZ Top

This live album has a great selection of songs from the era I like, but the sound is too muddy, load and harsh... probably a result of poor recording and mastering. It just plan hurts the ears to listen to it. Unfortunately, there is no great live recording of ZZ Top (other than a few tracks on the album Fandango), so this is about as good as it gets if you want the late '70s or early '80s songs. I'd say stick with the studio albums until something better comes along.
