Valuable life lesson: sad but true….
Almost unbearably sad story of toxic relationship between boxer and promoter as the boxer declines physically and has no other job skills. Lots of famous people from the old times, even a very young Cassius Clay.
I am doing a study of 100 greatest sports films and I am really learning and growing. This isn’t a light, fun entertainment but rather a rough brutal look at the dark side of life so you can avoid the pitfalls.

Scary but true and well told:
Studying Dr. Seuss since he has passed away. I learned about it in a documentary about his life and how parents complained that he frightened their children during the Cold War.
It was well written but better for adults, or obsolete children as he called us.

Best Black History Lesson Ever!
This is the best Black History lesson ever because it has universal application to everyone’s life no matter what your ethnicity or life circumstances.
An enslaved Pastor was able to tell Howard Thurman’s enslaved great grandmother: You’re not a slave, you’re not the bad names you are called. You are a child of God.
Any mistreated person can find the inner strength to overcome abuse in this book. Love it. Heard about it on PBS Howard Thurman documentary.
