A bang for the buck! You'll love it!
0 of 1 found this helpful I recently purchased this framing hammer. My old ones broke for a long abused, I got my first California Framer since it was first came out. This is my 3rd one in 23oz Framer waffled face. My 2 d one is a 19oz Smooth face framer. I love Vaughan California Framer been using them for a long time. True American made striking tools. After I received mine on the package, I stained it with Walnut oil based stain finish and follow up with a clear polyurethane coating and throw some protective leather Collar. The hammer looks nice.

Almost as Equal as The Original Vaughan California Framer!
This Framing Hammer is Almost as Equal as The Original Vaughan California Framer, the looks is so Identical with only the Difference is this hammer doesn't have a magnetic nail setter. But that's alright though! It's 23oz just a common Carbon Steel Hammer head Drop Forged Milled/Waffle Face Straight Rip Claw identical to the Vaughan 999. I love the hammer it is Balanced and it's got lots of Mass to it, can drive common nail 3-1/4" to 3-1/2" in just One Hit. Grayvik California Framer 23oz, Grayvik Brand but I think their Manufacturer is The Vaughan and Bushnell Co. totally made in The USA just like the original Vaughan California Framer. I like it! It does the great job. I highly recommend this Framing Hammer to all my fellow Carpenters and Friends and Relatives. The Craftsmanship is not as good as the Original Vaughan California Framer but the style of the hammer The Grayvik nails it! The steel is good, time will tell, so far I've tested this hammer and empty a box of common nails 16D 3-1/4" Coated smooth shank nails and this hammer works fine. Lots of Mass to it I like it.
