A good book to help one grasp theology but not for common people.
7 chapters. chapter 4 was my favorite - a clear summary of the biblical rules for taking care of the poor. the other 6 chapters were a struggle for me. I have about 17 patents and understand something about science. Each process has to be able to be duplicated to be credible. Theology is in sharp contrast in that NO IDEAS or Processes can be proven. THis book is for people sorting out Theology. Hence, it doesnt prove anything. It is a well written collection of ideas (other then chapter 4) that i would recommend for someone who is embracing theology. On the other hand, if you want to know what the bible says about the poor, read chapter 4.

not a $1000 watch.
if you wear a suit most of the time, get a $1000 watch to wear with it. for all the rest of the time, wear this one. I have had the blackface model for 3 years - very tuff; can not scratch that sapphire crystal. this silver face is just as tuff, and easier to read. in a dimly lit room, like when you watch a movie or tv, this model pops as the silver catches the available light. too big for a small wrist, works good on medium or large wrist. If you are an NFL center, get a oversized watch.

Radical by David Platt
i was expecting something more accademic. this book is written to someone who is looking stories rather than verified facts.
he is correct in his primice that in the USA, we have rewritten the bible to fit the "american dream" and blatenly ignor what it says. i'll give the book to my kids to get some use out of it. i honestly think that it will help them understand what christianity is supposed to be.
