Wish I had bought it sooner
My cheap Aroma rice cooker was making horrible rice. I thought maybe if I bought a more high-end rice cooker it would solve the issue. I was right. This thing makes gourmet quality rice every time. I'm using the same exact rice I used with the cheap model and it seems like it isn't even the same brand. The texture is much fluffier and more moist. To the pallet it has a really pleasant feel and taste now. I thought maybe it was the rice but it wasn't. Too bad I'm at the end of a 25 pound bag. I wasted all that good rice in a cheap cooker. If you're reading this and are thinking of buying one, do it. If you want the kind of rice you only get in high end Tai or Chinese restaurants, this is it. I would even say that my rice is better than any restaurant out there. I did follow the directions to the T. I'm using Jasmine rice and using the long grain white rice setting. It's dead perfect. The instructions are awesome. They are very clear that the cup markings on the cooker bowl match the little cup that comes with it. Also they said in bold print to use the white rice long grain setting or it won't turn out right. Glad I read all the instructions. I'm in rice heaven.

Not as good as my old ones from the 90's.
The locking mechanism is great but the tuning key gears seem like the lock up. They were hard to turn in certain positions. I have some cheap knock offs on a project Tele and they are much smoother and were only $28.

Great little unit.
I have one of these in both of my cars. Really like how simple it is. Just clean surface with alcohol and stick it on. Works great. Very compact.
