Heavenly Sword, Heavenly Fun!
What a great hack and slash title. One of PS3's marquee titles is a great game to pass a certain amount of time with mindless fun surrounded by majestic landscapes. This game, that by all intentions tries to be a movie more than a game, is a quite admirable feat for Ninja Theory, the developer. A grand job was done with the design of the game, the art direction. But what it impresses with it's cinematics, great voice cast and smooth gameplay it falls a bit short on story, length, and depth, namely the in game puzzles.
One of Heavenly Swords saving graces is it's repeat playability, especially once you have unlocked Hell Mode. It's a great game to slap on, learn and perfect your combos and watch the bodies fly.
If not for it's minor flaws, I'd call this an excellent title, however all things considered it's just a notch below that.
