Its a great little shade
Yes, I know that many people today donot use lens shades because they are made of cheap plastic and are usually difficult to use, i.e. can't get them on and lock properly. This tried and true slotted design works well on your lens and the cap covers the opening of the shade leaving you with a fast solution to take cap off for quick shots. With is relative shallow design it should work fine for these one-size fits all zooms from wide-open to full exteision. I have this slotted design on all of my glass prime lenses and have never had a problem with the shade. JPG

Do not settle for less than the best
I have been a photographer for over fifty years film to digital and, Yes, these are old style memory products, but they are for an older full frame camera that this is the largest size it can handle. I purchased another camera that uses this memory so I bought these. I have never had one fail in the camera or computer after almost ten thousand shots. I have tried other brands and have suffered random failures to the point of extreme frustration. So, for me there there is no other brand to use.

One of the best 50 mm lense ever
The Leica 50mm f2 is perhaps the best little all purpose lens ever designed! It is an all-around excellent tool for your camera. Since I shoot mostly outdoor secenes and landscape, I always carry one in my kit when I go on a hike or trip. Also, I carry a fast 70mm lens as well. These two cover 95% of all of my shooting in color or Black & White, film or digital (Leica M, Nikon Df, and Cannon.) JPG
