Cable works well
I used the cable in conjunction with downloading Chirp to handle programming my radio. It worked well and I had no insurmountable problems. I have not used the software on the disk yet. An acquaintance lent me a CSV file of active frequencies in my area which I used to program my UV 5R

Cable has plenty of length
2 of 2 found this helpful I needed a long cable to connect to a "wifi-less" old pc on a different floor from the main router upstairs to upgrade its OS. This cable worked fine. Connectors were good and firm.

Excellent Value
1 of 1 found this helpful For the few bucks it cost, this radio does a lot. It was easy to program and is feature rich. It is a good monitoring radio. If you transmit a lot in the field, carry a spare battery or use the higher capacity battery that is also fairly affordable.
