Brilliant solution to an expensive problem

Oven goes phut. No repairers will touch it - too old, no parts available etc. About to give up and scrap it when I found a forum thread that mentioned this service on eBay. So I found it and tried it. I'm delighted. Good price, fast turnaround and knowledgeable and helpful advice from the repairers. The oven now works perfectly. Makes you wonder, when so many people and organisations boast about their green credentials, why this sort of repair isn't more widely available. However, be warned - from my experience (as a moderately expert DIY'er) it's really not that easy to remove the unit from this oven, or to get it back in place.

Wow! So amazingly useful that I'm surprised I don't see more people with them.

Eureka! The solution to fading short-distance eyesight without the discomfort (and danger!) of carrying a full-sized spectacle case in your trouser pocket! I first bought these well over a year ago now, and have used them several times a day ever since. I would have thought that the folding and extending parts would have started to fail long ago under such use. But no, they still unfold and extend pretty much as they did when I first got them. Impressed. OK, the exterior of the carrying case is now significantly battered due to frequent collisions with keys and coins, but for me that's not a big issue.

Brilliant Truecall but BT build quality dropping fast

Truecall is absolutely excellent. Had this on my previous BT 8610 sets and wouldn't be without it. And having it integrated into the phone is really worth having. I'd definitely recommend this. BUT, these BT Premium handsets simply aren't as good as the 8610's - much lower build quality and so slow that I'm guessing there's a much less powerful chip inside. And certainly no cheaper to buy. If these are the 'Premium' range then I'm not sure what this says about the lower ranges. Shame on you BT! So-so value at the £65 that I paid. Rip-off at the full £100 RRP.
