I Love This Amp
5 of 5 found this helpful I Love This Amp.
It is everything I want in a bass amp. It's got a great sound at a great price, and with its various sizes will serve whatever purpose you need it to. Personally, I'm always running into a PA when I gig so the 100W is perfect for me- going through a PA for medium size venues (indoors or outdoors), 100W is all you need. If you're going live right from the amp at these size of venues or gigging at slightly larger ones (live or through PA) then I'd recommend at least the 200W.
Now, easily the biggest selling point this thing has is the weight. It is UNBELIEVABLY LIGHT. When my brother first picked one up in a store he thought it was some kind of empty display model. Nope. This thing weighs less than a small practice amp. Everyone is constantly wowed at how light it is when they carry it, expecting the usual burden that is the bass amp and instead getting a comparative feather. Think about how much nicer it would be to carry this around than that hunk of concrete destroying your back.
Mark Bass makes great, light amps too, but these are a fantastic stepping stone in a more affordable price range.
Great, versatile sound, great price, FANTASTIC portability, all in all a great value.
CAD STAGE 4 Wired Microphone

Great Beginner Set for Live Sound.
These are a great set of beginner value drum mics. CAD is a reputable brand for entry-level equipment, and the price is right. I've gigged with these a couple of times and have had great experiences so far.
The signal is not the strongest but it still comes through enough and has a good clear sound. The clips have held up so far, I've had no troubles with anything coming loose or rattling around while playing. The only complaint I could give is that it can be tough to get your XLRs plugged securely into them, but it just takes a little extra effort and they'll stay put.
Keep in mind what you have and what drums you'll be micing- I'm micing a 5 piece kit but I 1) already had overhead condensers and 2) won these at an irresistible price so I opted to get these and then just buy the last tom mic separately. If you're working with a 5 piece kit and starting from scratch, you may want to go with CAD's 7 mic set (5 clip-ons and 2 overheads).
Also, keep in mind what your purpose for them is- micing each individual drum is mostly for playing live. The setup will be very different in a studio.
GORGEOUS Washburn B8 K 5 String Banjo with Resonator & Padded Case B8K

Great Beginner Banjo!
This is a great entry-level banjo for aspiring players on a budget. Take it from a broke college kid, I'm all about finding the best quality out of the lowest price range. Washburn is a reputable brand that makes quality stuff- I own a mandolin and electric guitar from them as well and am happy with all of their products.
This banjo has a nice sound to it- it sounds like you'd expect a banjo to sound, simple as that. It has the resonator, which I think is definitely preferable to open-back ones.
It feels well-built, plays nicely, and comes with a case that does the job for now.
You'll want a hardshell case and a new set of strings as soon as possible, but if you're looking for your first banjo, skip the Rogues and go for something that will be significantly higher-quality for comparatively not that much more money.
