YAMAMOTO SOUND CRAFT Asada Cherry Wood Headshell HS-2HS-2

Excellent upgrade

Spent a lot of time researching which version to buy and chose cherry because it closest matched the weight of the factory headshell on my vintage JVC QL-A7. Mounted a Goldring 1042 and adjusted the VTA on the tone arm to optimize the angle. I wasn’t thinking deep down it would make much difference but all I can say is now the sound feels tighter and more dialed in. Confirmation bias or measurable? I don’t know but it looks great and sounds fantastic. Do some research on your tonearm to pick the right version, set it up right and I think you’ll be pleased.
