Defective part
2 of 3 found this helpful The nodemcu part is defective and is not able to run simple programs. I have reinstalled new versions of the firmware multiple times with no improvement. The blink routine causes the device to go into panic mode and reboot. The wifi sets an IP but does not broadcast. I got another from china with much better quality that works
