Very good, but only get one if you don't mind the heat.
1 of 1 found this helpful This was a replacement for a ATI Radeon HD 4870 with only 512MB of VRAM. It runs about the same speed on games and applications that don't support crossfire, but it is almost as fast as a real crossfire setup on the ones that do. The biggest advantage to running this card over a real crossfire setup is that you only have to have one card, and it uses slightly less power.
You must remember that this card still uses a significant amount of power (forget about putting it in an OEM system without a power supply upgrade. Also, the card is very long, so it will not fit in a small case.
Another issue is that the card is set to idle extremely hot (I believe it was 70C). I did fix this by flashing a modified BIOS to the card. It now idles at 45C, but seems to run better when it's warm.
