An older version but still worth buying!
1 of 1 found this helpful I took Latin in high school and we used this edition as our textbooks. I really like the set up. Each Lesson begins with a paragraph in Latin that you must translate using the material you learned in the previous lessons and the current lesson. Each lesson also gives 15-20 new vocabulary words and good exercises. Some exercises are meant to be used for group work but you can do them on your own as well. The publisher recently came out with a new edition of this textbook so this edition should now be fairly cheap. I bought the first and second textbooks with their workbooks because I wanted to reteach myself the language. I'm doing quite well. The material sticks with you and is not boring (the paragraphs you translate are actually quite fascinating).

Great Fiction Series!
This series is so imaginative and original! The story is like a Salvador Dali painting, so vivid and twisted! I read the first book and was instantly hooked. Be warned, if you read the books out of order you will be completely lost. The first chapter of each book does not review what happened in the last book so you must read them in order. They are an easy read, I use to check out 3-4 books at the library and return them by the end of the week (and I am not a speed reader). I eventually decided to buy the series because I loved the books so much. I hope you check these out. Happy Reading!
